Grizzlies Sign Rookie Turnbull

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley today announced that the team has signed rookie center Podge Turnbull for the 2011-2012 season.

Turnbull, 23, joins the Grizzlies after playing four years of college hockey at the University of Wisconsin. During his senior year, he had 13 goals and 7 assists for 20 points in 38 games.

The Wisconsin native was originally selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the fifth round of the 2007 NHL entry draft.

"Podge has a hard shot and will be a contributing rookie for us," said Grizzlies Head Coach Kevin Colley. "He's been on professional hockey's radar for awhile."
