
Grizzlies Re-Assign a Pair of Players to Idaho

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies announced today that they have re-assigned centers Jeff Bateman and Zenon Konopka to the Idaho Steelheads, the Grizzlies ECHL affiliate.
Bateman, 22, was re-called from Idaho on November 21st and has played in six games with the Grizzlies scoring a goal and adding six penalty minutes. In 12 games with the Steelheads this year, the Bellville, Ontario native has scored nine points (4-5 -9).
Konopka, 22, was re-called from Idaho on December 2nd and he scored a goal in his only game with the Grizzlies last night versus Houston (3-1 Utah win). In eight games with the Steelheads this year, the Niagara Falls, Ontario native has scored five goals with seven assists.
The Grizzlies return to action Saturday night when they host the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM (mst).
