Crunch Sign AHL Veteran Center Greg Koehler

Syracuse, NY (December 4, 2003) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed center Greg Koehler to a professional try-out contract. The team also announced that they have recalled defenseman Sean Connolly from Dayton (ECHL).

Koehler, 28, has appeared in 18 games with Elmira (UHL) this season, recording 14 goals, 14 assists and 11 penalty minutes. In 163 career AHL games with New Haven, Lowell, Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Manchester, Koehler has tallied 47 goals, 45 assists and 200 penalty minutes. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Koehler made his NHL debut with Carolina on December 29, 2000 against Columbus.

Connolly, 23, has appeared in 10 games with Dayton this season, recording one goal and 14 penalty minutes. In four games with Syracuse earlier this season, Connolly has tallied four penalty minutes. A native of Flat Rock, Michigan, Connolly signed an American Hockey League contract with Syracuse, August 15, 2003.

The Crunch travel to Toronto on Friday, December 5 for a 7 p.m. game.
