NORMAL, IL - Justin Dunning drove in Chris McClendon on an RBI double in the 10th inning to give the Gateway Grizzlies a 4-3 come-from-behind win over the Normal Cornbelters Thursday night at The Corn Crib. The win was the second in a row the Grizzlies and their sixth in seven games. The win improved Gateway to 2-1 in extra-inning games.

McClendon's run on the Dunning double was the fourth unanswered run for Gateway (13-12), who rallied from down 3-0 against Normal (8-15) after six innings.

The Grizzlies rally started in the seventh inning on back-to-back singles to lead off the inning by Jon Myers and McClendon. After a Kenton Parmley sacrifice bunt, Dunning was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Jonathan then brought a run home on a hit by pitch, Antone DeJesus picked up an RBI single and Jerod Yakubik collected an RBI walk. The Grizzlies scored three runs on three hits in the inning, despite still leaving three runners on base. Gateway left 13 runners on base in the game.

Pat Arnold got the start and picked up a no decision. He fired seven strong innings, allowing two earned runs on six hit. Arnold struck out six while walking two.

Phillip Reamy (2-0) and Richard Barrett continued the Grizzlies bullpen dominance. Reamy got the win, firing two hitless innings with two strikeouts. Barrett worked a 1-2-3 10th, which included two strikeouts, to get his fourth save.

Dunning paced the Grizzlies offense, reaching base all five times. He was 2-for-2 with a single, RBI double, two walks, a hit by pitch and a run scored.

The Grizzlies return to action on Friday night in Normal. Right-hander Chris Enourato (0-2) makes his first professional start for Gateway. First pitch is set for 6:30 CT.
