Fresno Grizzlies News Release
FRESNO, CA - The Fresno Grizzlies return home to open an eight-game homestand on Monday, June 9th at Chukchansi Park against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and Portland Beavers. The weekend will feature Friday the 13th Night at the Park, as well as Pobody's Nerfect Night and a special Father's Day contest on June 15th.
After a brief, four-game trip to Tacoma, WA, the Grizzlies return home to open a four-game series with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Monday, June 9th. Fans can take advantage of the best deal in baseball, the Monday Madness package presented by Wienerschnitzel, on the homestand's first and last day (June 9th, June 16th). Two tickets, two hot dogs, two sodas, and two Island Waterpark passes, all for just $14.
Like all Tuesdays at the Park, June 10th is a Taco Tuesday, presented by 95.7 The Fox, where all tacos, taquitos, churros (all game long), and 16oz Tecate beers (until 8:00pm) are just $2. June 11th is Way Back Wednesday, presented by The Fresno Bee, where kids 12-and-under, seniors (55+), and military personnel (with valid ID) can buy a ticket for just $1.
Thursday, June 12th is the fifth Thirsty Thursday of the spring, presented by 104.1 'It Just Rocks'. 12oz. Tecate Light beers are available until the 5th inning for just $1, and dollar-sodas are available all night long.
On Friday the 13th the Grizzlies will host a spooktacular tribute to the most spine-chilling night of the year at Chukchansi Park. Fresno will wear special Friday the 13th theme jerseys in their series opener that will be auctioned off following the game to benefit the Central California Blood Center. Every player on the Grizzlies roster will be wearing #13 for the night.
All fans that donate blood at a Fresno-area CCBC location this week will receive a free ticket to the game, and those that don't wish to donate can take advantage of a special offer, two Super View tickets for just $13! The Grizzlies will celebrate the night with a combination of spooky Halloween elements, an inspection of the superstitions associated with bad luck, images from the horror film genre, and a special, themed Drag Kings performance.
With the summer heat upon the Central Valley, Saturday, June 14th is perhaps one of the most useful giveaways of the year at Chukchansi Park. The first 2,500 fans into the Park for Saturday's game will receive a free Grizzlies' car sunshade, courtesy of Akeena Solar. Additionally, Saturday is Pobody's Nerfect night at the Park, where anything and everything could go wrong! Some lucky fans may even get an accidental seat upgrade at the box office.
There is no better way to spend Father's Day than at a ballgame with the kids, and Save Mart Sunday, June 15th will be loaded with special Father's Day activities when the Grizzlies take on the Portland Beavers at 2:05pm. Before the game, fathers can play catch on the Chukchansi Park field with their kids thanks to Spike TV and the first 1,000 fans into the ballpark will receive a free fishing pole thanks to Dasani.
Like all Sundays, fans will be able to get autographs on the Chukchansi Park concourse from selected Grizzlies' players, presented by ABC30, and kids can run the bases on the field following the game thanks to Del Taco.
The Grizzlies open their eight-game homestand on Monday, June 9th when the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, come to town. For information regarding tickets, promotions, or Grizzlies baseball, visit fresnogrizzlies.com or call 559.320.HITS.
