
Figgins Joins Bees for Rehab Assignment

SALT LAKE CITY (June 9, 2008) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that infielder Chone Figgins will begin a rehab assignment with the Salt Lake Bees in the team's home game tonight against the Tacoma Rainiers at 7:05 p.m. at Franklin Covey Field.
Figgins, 30, was placed on the disabled list with a strained right hamstring on May 30. He has appeared in 33 games for the Angels in 2008, hitting .306 with six doubles, seven RBI and 11 stolen bases. The Leary, Ga. native was traded to the Angels from the Colorado Rockies on July 13, 2001.
