The Gateway Grizzlies pounded out a season-high 18 hits en route to a 15-3 pounding of the Mid-Missouri Mavericks Tuesday night in front of 1,936 at a frigid GMC Stadium. The Grizzlies scored five runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back. They added seven in the third and three in the sixth. Todd Oetting went three-for-five with an RBI single, and a three-run home run. Horace Lawrence was two-for-four and three RBIs. He also added a two-run home run. Kevin Lucas was two-four with two RBIs. Pete Buck started and picked up his secind straight win. He threw six innings allowing three runs on five hits. He walked a batter and struck out seven. Micahael Golden pitched the final three innings, for the first save of the season. The Grizzlies and the Mavericks will continue the series Wednesday night. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
