Grizzlies Go 4-0 on Trip; Beat Ontario 7-3

Ontario, California - The Utah Grizzlies (11-4-2-1) defeated the Ontario Reign 7-3 Sunday evening at Citizens Business Bank Arena to complete their four-game-in-five-night road trip.

"It wasn't an easy road trip with all the travel and tough teams;and I'm really proud of the guys to go 4-0," said Grizzlies Head Coach Kevin Colley.

The Grizzlies fell behind 1-0 9:58 into the first period as the Reign scored a five-on-three power-play goal.

Utah countered by going five for their first five on the power-play to eventually build a 7-2 lead. The Grizzlies scored four power-play goals in a span of 5:54 to take 3-1 and 4-2 leads by the first intermission with Brad Snetsinger, Brett Parnham, Tim Crowder and Nick Tuzzolino all scoring.

Utah made it 5-2 18 seconds into the second period as Brett Parnham redirected home their fifth power-play score of the night. Utah tied an all-time team record with five power-play goals for the third time in team history. The Grizzlies, in total went five for seven on the power-play.

Parnham finished off his first professional hat trick at 10:04 of the second period as he poked home a shot from the side of the net.

The teams traded goals in the third period with Jason Fredricks scoring his second goal of the season at 4:12. Marcus Carroll and Brock Wilson picked up assists.

Ric Jackman added four assists in the game and Nick Tuzzolino had one goal and two assists. Brad Snetsinger had one goal and one assist. 10 Utah skaters scored in the game as Utah skated two men short for most of the game.

J.P. Lamoureux started all four games for Utah on the trip and ran his season record to 6-2-1-0.

The Grizzlies return home Thursday with Las Vegas and Friday and Saturday with Ontario. Face-off all three nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
