Cyclones Back Home For Weekend Series Against Florida

November 29, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

Following their longest road trip of the season, the Cyclones will play three games in three days...two of which will be at U.S. Bank Arena this weekend against the Florida Everblades.

THIS PAST WEEK:

About Sunday Afternoon in Trenton: The Cyclones used a three-goal third period en route to their most lopsided victory of the season, dropping the Trenton Devils by a 5-1 score at Sun National Bank Center. Five different Cyclones players scored for Jarrod Skalde's team, including a two-point night from Brian O'Hanley, Chris Clackson, Mathieu Aubin and Brett Robinson.

About Saturday Night in Elmira: Eric Lampe had a goal and an assist to lead the Jackals to a 3-2 victory over the Cyclones at First Arena. It was the final meeting of the 2010-11 regular season between the two clubs. Scott Lehman and Barret Ehgoetz both scored for Cincinnati.

About Friday Night in Reading: For the second consecutive night, the Royals were able to knock off the Cyclones in overtime as Todd Perry tallied the game-winner just 1:14 into the extra session to lift Reading over Cincinnati by a 4-3 final score. Dustin Sproat scored a pair of goals in a losing effort while Marc Cheverie made 24 saves.

About Wednesday Night at Reading: Royals rookie forward Mikhail Stefanovich recorded his first-career hat trick including the game-winning goal at 2:02 of the extra session to give Reading a 4-3 overtime victory over the Cyclones at the Sovereign Center. It was Cincinnati's ECHL-high eighth overtime game this season. Scott Reynolds, Mathieu Aubin, and Christiaan Minella all scored for the Cyclones in a losing effort.

STORYLINES:

A Nice November: Cincinnati finished this past month with a 7-3-4 record. It was their best November mark since the 2007-08 season, when they finished 10-3-1.

More "O" from the "D": Both Brian O'Hanley and T.J. Fast continue to rank among the ECHL's most offensively minded defensemen. O'Hanley is tied for second on the Cyclones in scoring with 16 points and is 3rd among all league blue-liners. Fast's 10 points (5 G, 5 A) rank him 7th in that category. While his 4 power play goals are tied for the ECHL lead among D-men.

Multi-Goal Glory: With Dustin Sproat's pair of goals in last Friday's 4-3 OT loss at Reading, he joins Brett Robinson and Sam D'Agostino as the only Cyclones players this season to log a multi-goal game.
