
Grizzlies Fall to Kenosha

The Gateway Grizzlies dropped the second game of a three-game series 4-2 to Kenosha Wednesday night at GMC Stadium. The Grizzlies are now 15-10. Kenosha is 12-14. The Grizzlies managed just two hits the entire night, but scored two runs in the fifth, both on bases loaded walks to take a 2-0 lead. Todd Oetting and Horace Lawrence III picked up the RBIs. Kenosha scored two in the seventh, and then added two more in the eigth for the win. Layne Meyer took the loss in relief, going 1 1/3 innings allowing two runs on two hits. He took over for Joe Dooley who started and went 6 2/3 innings allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out eight. Tony Coyne and Jose Garcia had the only hits for the Grizzlies. The two teams will finish the series with a 7:05 game Thursday night at GMC Stadium.
