Grizzlies Edge Wranglers 3-0

Las Vegas, Nev. - The Las Vegas Wranglers were upset 3-0 by the Utah Grizzlies tonight, leaving the team up a win for a 2-1 home record at the start of the 2011-12 season.

The game was scoreless for only 3:43 minutes when Grizzlies center Mitch Wahl scored early on a power play and brought Utah up 1-0 in the first with an assist from defenseman Ryan Turek. With :49 seconds left in the period, left wing Jeff LoVecchio notched another goal for the Grizzlies with an assist from center Justin Dowling, giving them a two-point lead.

Midway into the second period, Wahl scored his second goal of the night for Utah at the 7:35 mark. Wranglers goaltender Joe Fallon was able to stop the Grizzlies for the remainder of the game, securing 20 saves over 23 shots and leaving the final score 3-0 in favor of Utah.

The Wranglers face off against the Colorado Eagles on Thursday, Oct. 27, and Friday, Oct. 28, with puck drops at 7:05 p.m. at the Orleans Arena. The full box score for tonight's game can be found here .
