Trenton Titans News Release
TRENTON, N.J. - A strong start and early lead evaporated Wednesday night, as the Trenton Titans (1-4-0-2) dropped a 4-2 decision to the visiting Gwinnett Gladiators (3-2-0-6) at the Sun National Bank Center.
After Matt Germain netted his first goal of the season just 1:56 into the game, the Gladiators' Scott Fleming knocked in the first of his two goals with 59 seconds left in the first period.
Andy Bohmbach got the crowd of 1,418 excited by netting a short-handed breakaway goal 2:16 into the second period to give the Titans a 2-1 advantage. It was Bohmbach's fourth goal in three games with the Titans.
Fleming then struck again 7:23 into the period, deadlocking matters at 2-2 heading into the third period.
In the final period, Gwinnett's Pat Galivan gave the Gladiators the lead at the 2:33 mark, and Shane Sims put in the clincher at the 9:27 mark.
The Titans will attempt to get back on the winning track in the finale of their four-game homestand at 7 p.m. Friday. It is "Pink On The Rink'' night, sponsored by RAI.
