
Grizzlies Drop Third Straight

The River City Rascals banged out 16 hits en route to a third straight win over the Gateway Grizzlies, winning 11-5 Saturday night at GCS Ballpark. The win completed a double-header sweep for River City, who beat the Grizzlies 7-4 earlier in the day at T.R. Hughes Ballpark. The Grizzlies dropped to 0-3. River City is now 3-0.
Chris Ingoglia (1-0) earned the win for the Rascals. Ingoglia allowed a run on three hits in five innings of work. He struck out seven. Justin Lilly (0-1) took the loss for the Grizzlies. Lilly allowed three runs on four hits in four innings.
Jareck West was 2-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Alex Kerins doubled to drive in a run. Breck Draper added his first home run, a two-run shot in the ninth.
The Grizzlies and Rascals will conclude the season-opening series with a 6:05 game Sunday evening at GCS Ballpark.
