
Grizzlies Capture West Division Title

The Gateway Grizzlies were rained out Friday night at GCS Ballpark against the Rockford RiverHawks, but still clinched the West Division title due to the Schaumburg Boomers loss at Washington.
The division title was the Grizzlies first since 2007 and it will be their first playoff appearance since 2008.
"I'm excited for this team to enter the playoffs and have a chance to win a championship," Grizzlies manager Phil Warren said. "This is the start to our end goal, which is winning the Frontier League Championship."
Gateway and Rockford will play a doubleheader Saturday night starting at 6:05.
