WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento River Cats (12-13) lost 7-4 to the Fresno Grizzlies (10-15) on Monday at Raley Field. Fresno scored four runs in the seventh inning to overcome the River Cats' 4-3 lead.
RHP Wayne Gomes (1-1) took the loss, allowing 4 R (2 ER) on 3 H in 0.1 IP. 3B Mike Edwards led the Cats with 3 H. RF Nick Swisher and SS Mike Rouse both homered in the game.
The River Cats and Grizzlies will play the second game of their four-game series tomorrow (7:05 pm) at Raley Field.
