Griffins Single-Game Tickets On Sale Saturday

Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Thursday announced that single-game tickets for the team's 40 regular season home games at Van Andel Arena will go on sale to the general public this Saturday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. Griffins tickets can be purchased through Tickets PLUS outlets (222-4000 or 800-585-3737), West Michigan Meijer locations and The Zone at Van Andel Arena, or by visiting griffinshockey.com. Single ticket prices are $5, $10 and $12 in the arena's upper bowl, and $17, $20 and $25 in the lower bowl.

The Griffins will open the 2003-04 AHL regular season on Saturday, Oct. 11, when they visit the Chicago Wolves at 8 p.m. EDT. Grand Rapids' home opener versus the defending Calder Cup champion Houston Aeros is set for Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Due to group and season ticket sales, less than 2,500 tickets remain for the Griffins' home debut.

Griffins full-season, mini-season and group ticket packages are currently on sale through the team's office at (800) 2-HOCKEY. The NHL's future stars will descend on Grand Rapids this winter for the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic. The two-day event at Van Andel Arena will consist of the AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, Feb. 8, followed by the AHL All-Star Game on Monday, Feb. 9.
