
Pirates Individual Game Tickets On Sale Monday

PORTLAND, ME - The Portland Pirates announced today that individual game tickets for the 2003-2004 season will go on sale on Monday, September 29th at 9:30 a.m. Tickets for the Pirates' forty home regular season American Hockey League games will be on sale at the Cumberland County Civic Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets and through Ticketmaster.com. Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tickets also may be ordered by phone by calling the box office at (207) 775-3458 or by calling Ticketmaster at (207) 775-3331.
"Fans are going to find that attending a Pirates' home game this season has never been easier, more convenient or more affordable," said Brian Petrovek, Pirates' CEO. "With 37 of our home dates on weekends or holidays, families have a host of opportunities for a great night out. In addition, we're offering a variety of discounted ticket and fundraising programs that will appeal to businesses, civic organizations and groups alike."
All tickets in the Captain's Deck section are $19. Adult tickets will cost $16 in the Main Deck and $11 in the Quarter Deck. Children's and Seniors' tickets in the Main and Quarter Deck sections are only $9. "Day of Game" pricing for seven Saturday contests against the Pirates' two arch rivals, Providence and Manchester, will increase by $1 for Main Deck Adult tickets (from $16 to $17) and Quarter Deck Adult tickets (from $11 to $12), and $0.50 for Child and Senior tickets (from $9 to $9.50). Those Saturday games are October 18 vs. Manchester, December 20 vs. Providence, December 27 vs. Providence, February 7 vs. Providence, February 21 vs. Manchester, March 6 vs. Manchester and April 3 vs. Providence. "Advance" ticket prices for those seven games are $16, $11 and $9 as indicated above.
Fans may still purchase full-season, half-season, ten-game and five-game Flex Ticket packages. All packages offer discounts of up to 23% off the box office price. The Pirates continue to offer discounted tickets to groups of 15 or more. Larger groups can save as much as $11 per ticket through the program. Groups also have the option to rent the Captain's Club for pre- or post-game functions. Rentals are available during weeknight games for groups of 20 or more. Available dates for Captain's Club rentals and Pirates' Birthday Parties presented by Amato's are limited so interested parties are encouraged to call the Pirates today.
The following is a list of the Pirates' 2003-2004 discounted individual ticket offers. All offers are for regular season games, based on availability, and cannot be combined with other offers:
Fleet Family Four Pack
Once again this season, the Pirates are offering the popular Fleet Family Four Pack. A family of two adults and two children can purchase Four Quarter Deck tickets, Four hot dogs or pizza slices, Four soft drinks and Four game day programs for just $49. Priced separately, the package is worth more than $75. This offer is good for all six Sunday home games and is available both in advance or day of the game.
Hannaford Supermarkets
Beginning October 1st, fans who purchase $50 worth of groceries at Hannaford will receive a coupon good for up to FOUR $8 QUARTER DECK TICKETS, a savings of $3 per ticket, to select Pirates homes games during the regular season. The coupon may be redeemed in advance or on the day of the game at the Civic Center box office.
Margaritas Frozen Frisbee Fridays
Patrons who receive a coupon with their dinner checks from Margaritas Restaurant may redeem it for a BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE TICKET in the Main or Quarter Deck at any of the Pirates' 14 Margaritas Frozen Frisbee Friday night home games this season. Coupons will be distributed on Thursdays and Fridays beginning October 1st.
USA Hockey
USA Hockey members may receive one $6 QUARTER DECK ticket for any game by showing their USA Hockey membership card (02-03 or 03-04) at the Civic Center Box Office.
The Pirates begin the 2003-2004 American Hockey League season on Friday, October 10 when they visit the Lowell Lock Monsters at 7:00 p.m. The Pirates open the home half of their schedule on Friday, October 17th when they host the Hartford Wolf Pack at the Civic Center at 7:05 p.m. As part of Opening Night festivities, Rivalries, Margaritas and the Brian Boru will be hosting a pre-game block party from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with drink specials, giveaways and mascot appearances. The Pirates will be back on Civic Center ice on Saturday, October 18th when they host the Monarchs at 7:05 p.m. The first 3,000 fans will receive a Pirates' magnetic schedule courtesy of Paul G.
