
Griffins release Hutchins

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Thursday released left wing Jeff Hutchins from his tryout, returning him to the ECHL's Mississippi Sea Wolves.
Hutchins, 26, scored one goal and registered 45 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Griffins since signing on Jan. 29. He shows 34 points (18-16â34) and 126 PIM in 35 games with Mississippi, along with one goal in three contests with the AHL's Rochester Americans.
