Athletic Equipment Drive to be Held at Falcons' Game on March 11

Springfield, Mass. â The Springfield Falcons are proud to announce sponsorship of an athletic equipment drive at the team's game versus the Lowell Lock Monsters on Friday, March 11 at the Springfield Civic Center. Game time is 7:35 p.m. The drive, hosted by Good Sports, will benefit Springfield community groups and athletic teams.
Fans attending the game on March 11 are asked to bring new or gently used sports equipment such as hockey skates and baseball gloves. All equipment collected will be used for teams and organizations in the Springfield community.
Prior to the game, Good Sports will make a special on ice presentation of sports equipment to the Springfield Boys and Girls Club basketball team. Team members and staff from the Boys and Girls Club will be on-hand to accept the donation. Also on hand will be representatives from Spalding Corporation, Good Sports partner and equipment donor.
Good Sports is a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase urban youth participation in organized sports by making sports and fitness equipment accessible to young people throughout Massachusetts.
