Friday, Oct. 8 2010 vs. Abbotsford Heat Opening Night Presented by Comcast
GlowBams300.jpg Time: 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena (doors open at 6 p.m.).
Laser Light Show: Get here early for the extended pre-game festivities, featuring a laser light show.
Free Glow Bams: The first 7,500 fans will receive Griffins glow bams, courtesy of Comcast.
Jaded 8: Jaded 8 will perform live on the concourse from 6-7 p.m.
PeterRabbit.jpg Peter Rabbit: Bucket drummer Peter Rabbit will be on hand to accompany a commemorative video to mark the start of the Griffins' 15th season. Rabbit began performing in the streets of New York City, only later to be discovered and cast as one of the original members of the Broadway production and first national touring company of the five-time Tony Award-winning smash hit Bring in 'da Noise Bring in 'da Funk. After six years on Broadway this phenomenal talent toured with artists like the Neville Brothers and Kanye West. Currently he is one of the most requested acts within NBA and NCAA arenas. Dollar Beers, Dollar Dogs: The return of the ever-popular promotion runs from 6-8 p.m., when fans can enjoy $1 domestic drafts and $1 hot dogs while supplies last.
College Night: Presented by Chemical Bank, college students can show their ID to purchase a lower bowl ticket for $12 (or $10 in advance at The Zone) and stop by the McFadden's concourse table to receive a free pass to the post-game party at McFadden's.
Get in the D-ZONE: D-ZONE Nation citizenship includes specially priced tickets to the seven primary D-Zone games of the season, $1 beer $1 hot dog in-seat wait service from 6-8 p.m., the official D-ZONE Clingz300.jpg t-shirt (exclusive to seven-game citizens) and much more. Single-game ticket prices are $5 (Sunday-Thursday games only, advance purchase at The Zone), $13, $15 and $17 in the arena's upper level, and $17, $20, $25 and $30 in the lower level.
