
Worcester Sharks Trim Training Camp Roster by Eight

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced that the Worcester Sharks have released eight players from their training camp roster.
Forwards Chris Auger, Rob Bellamy, Mike Berry, Jordan Cyr, Michael Dubuc, Derek Patrosso, and Andrew Smale along with defenseman Dominic D'Amour were all released on Thursday.
In addition, the San Jose Sharks assigned Benn Ferriero to Worcester.
The Worcester Sharks now have 31 players (18 forwards, 10 defensemen, and 3 goaltenders) on their training camp roster.
The Sharks will travel to Springfield for a tilt against the Falcons at the Mass Mutual Center on Fri., Oct 1, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the MassMutual Center Box Office and Ticketmaster.
The team will round out the preseason schedule at Cromwell Skating Center in Cromwell, CT with a battle against the Wolf Pack on Sun., Oct 3, at 2 p.m. Admission is $5, to benefit Junior Wolf Pack Youth Hockey. Click HERE for information on tickets.
Worcester's training camp in preparation for the season opener on Saturday, Oct. 9 at Bridgeport against the Sound Tigers will conclude on October 7.
The Sharks will debut a special 5th anniversary teal jersey on opening night and fans will receive a rally towel presented by Price Chopper as the Sharks raise their regular season Atlantic Division championship banner against the Bruins on October 23rd.
