Phantoms Play Preseason Scrimmage

GLENS FALLS, NY -The Adirondack Phantoms held their first team scrimmage Thursday morning as they broke up the Phantoms players into two teams and grouped them with the non-roster invitees also in camp.

The White Team led by Assistant Coach Riley Cote defeated the Black Team led by Head Coach Greg Gilbert 6-2. Goals scored by the White Team came from Greg Moore, Eric Wellwood, Guilio Scandella, Matt Clackson, Tye McGinn and Stefan Legein. Black team goals came off the sticks of Luke Pither and Justin Bowers.

White team goalies Brian Stewart and Brad Phillips combined for the win.

The Phantoms will have a morning skate Friday as they ready themselves for their official preseason openers Friday night at 7:30 against the Albany Devils at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

The preseason schedule continues with games Saturday night at Albany (at RPI's Houston Fieldhouse in Troy) and Sunday night at Syracuse.
