March 29, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Grand Rapids Griffins News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Wednesday announced the hiring of ticket sales account executives Rich Meyers and Kevin Stevens.
Meyers had already worked with the Griffins as a marketing and promotions intern throughout the 2005-06 season, providing substantial assistance in game operations. After studying business and marketing at Winona State University in Minnesota, the Grand Rapids native transferred to Grand Valley State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in hospitality and tourism management last May.
Stevens also brings prior experience with DP Fox Sports & Entertainment into his new role, having served as both an intern and a retail store manager for the Griffins during the team's first two seasons. A 1996 graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in recreation, he subsequently established a successful sales career in the communications and education fields.
Both Meyers and Stevens will primarily focus on sales and renewals of full and partial season ticket packages.
