
Greisen, Finley take weekly awards

Green Bay, WI âQB Chris Greisen and WR/DB DeRonn Finley took two out of the three weekly af2 awards that were announced today by the af2 league office as a result of their performances helping the Blizzard downing the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz 71-53.
Greisen had the best game of his short arena career by completing 23-35 for 334 yards and 9 touchdowns and rushing 4 times for 18 yards and 1 touchdown. Greisen set Blizzard single game records with yards in a game and touchdowns. On the year, Greisen is 88 for 137 and 1,201 yards with 31 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Greisen is second in the af2 in pass rating (116.5) and ninth in passing yards (1,201). Greisen is the second Blizzard player to take the Baby Ruth Deal Offensive Player of the Week.
Finley won his first U.S Army Ironman award by hauling in 7 receptions for 49 yards and 3 touchdowns. On defense, Finley recorded 3 tackles and 1 interception, his third of the season. Finley finished his award winning night with 5 kickoff returns for 67 yards.
This is the first time since 2002 that two players from the same team won weekly awards in the same week.
