Green Bay, WI âThe Green Bay Blizzard have hit the .500 mark for the second time this season after dropping the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz 71-53 on Friday night. The Blizzard set several franchise and single season records in the process. Franchise records include: Wins (3), win streak (2), and points in a game (71). OS Randall Lane broke four Blizzard single season records Friday night which include: Receiving TDs (19), receiving yards (857), and points (114). Single game records set were: Passing yards (334), touchdowns (9), and receiving yards (164).
The Blizzard was lead by QB Chris Greisen as he threw for 334 yards and 9 touchdowns and rushing 4 times for 18 yards and a touchdown and was named Baby Ruth Deal Offensive Player of the Game. Lane caught 7 Greisen passes for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns. Also, U.S. Army Ironman of the game went to WR/DB DeRonn Finley who caught 7 passes for 49 yards and 3 touchdowns and had 3 tackles with 1 interception. ADT Defensive Player of the Game went to DS Roosevelt Williams who had 1 touchdown saving interception and 3 passes defended.
The Blizzard will try to go above the .500 mark this Saturday against the Louisville Fire. A win would move then into a tie for second place in the Midwest Division with a 4-3 mark.
