Greenville Drive News Release

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Drive played away tonight and took on the Asheville Tourists. Greenville went down 6-3 in the first game of the series.

The first five frames were a defensive battle, where neither team put a run on the board.

The bats cranked up in the seventh inning, especially for Asheville. Greenville scored one run on a Nicholas Northcutt homerun. That was his 13th homer of the season.

Asheville put five on the board, and it started with a Christian Ginzalez double that brought Nerio Rodriguez home.

In the eighth, the Drive tried to battle back, but only put 2 runs on the board. Matthew Lugo sent one out and brought Ceddanne Rafaela home with him.

Asheville added an insurance run in the eighth and came out on top.

Greenville continues play tomorrow in Asheville at 6:35.
