WINNIPEG, MB - While the fish are away, the cows will play.

On Monday, the Winnipeg Goldeyes announced plans for the second annual Grazing in the Outfield dinner at Shaw Park for Wednesday, August 10th, in support of the Winnipeg Goldeyes' Field of Dreams Foundation .

Hosted by Dairy Farmers of Manitoba (DFM), this unique event allows guests to dine in the outfield of Shaw Park, and enjoy chef Ben Kramer's unique ballpark-style food creations, with an emphasis on dairy products.

"Dairy Farmers of Manitoba has been a wonderful supporter of the Winnipeg Goldeyes for many years, and we're thrilled to partner on the second annual dinner," said Goldeyes' general manager Andrew Collier . "It's sure to be a fun-filled, educational evening, while also serving as a great fundraiser for the Field of Dreams Foundation."

During the evening, guests will witness a cow-milking demonstration, and learn about the process of bringing the 'farm to the fork.'

"This is an opportunity for Winnipeggers to connect with the dairy farm in the heart of downtown," said Jason Brandes, DFM Market Development Director. "Dinners like this allow consumers to meet local farmers, and learn how the food they are enjoying is produced."

Sitting at a long table in the middle of centre field at Shaw Park, dining on fresh, locally-produced food is truly a made-in-Manitoba moment.

The multi-course menu for Grazing in the Outfield will be prepared by Winnipeg chef Ben Kramer, an ambassador for all things local and sustainable.

"We'll be having a lot of fun cooking elevated ballpark food that features the quality ingredients grown by Manitoba farmers," said chef Ben Kramer. "It's also very satisfying to be part of a great event like this, one that raises money for so many Manitobans in need."

Tickets for Grazing in the Outfield are $130, with only 200 total tickets available. All proceeds will support the Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation, which has donated more than $2 million to children's charities in Manitoba since 1995.

"This promises to be a great event, and a wonderful opportunity for the Field of Dreams Foundation and our supporters to raise even more funds in support of children's charities in Manitoba," said Field of Dreams Foundation president, Tony Fletcher .

Tickets for Grazing in the Outfield can be purchased online by calling the Goldeyes' office at (204) 982-2273, visiting www.grazinginthefield.ca, or stopping by the box office at Shaw Park. The event will take place rain or shine .
