ROME, GA - The Greensboro Grasshoppers dropped to the Rome Braves, 4-3 on Thursday, August 24. Greensboro outhit Rome 6-5 as the Grasshoppers have one error.
Leading at the dish for the Grasshoppers was outfielder Tres Gonzalez as he went 2-5. Following close behind was Josiah Sightler as he went 2-4 with two runs scored. Francisco Acuña tallied the only double for the Grasshoppers.
Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Thomas Harrington as he tallied four strikeouts and gave up five hits, four runs (three earned runs) and two free bases on five innings of work. Harrington took the loss for the Grasshoppers and fell to 2-5 on the season.
Jorge Bautista recorded the win for the Braves and improved to 3-2 on the season.
