
Grasshoppers Continue Its Win Streak with a 4-3 Victory Over the BlueClaws

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Greensboro Grasshoppers continue its win streak with a 4-3 victory over the Jersey Shore BlueClaws on Thursday, May 11. The Grasshoppers moved to 19-11 on the season while the BlueClaws fell to 12-14. Jersey Shore outhit Greensboro 7-6 with two BlueClaws errors.
Leading at the plate for the Grasshoppers was Maikol Escotto going 2-4 with a double, one RBI, and one run scored. Hits were also recorded by Mike Jarvis, Tres Gonzalez, Jase Bowen, and Hudson Head.
Starting on the rubber first for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Po-Yu Chen as he tallied five strikeouts and gave up five hits and two earned runs on six innings of work. Dante Mendoza took the win for the Grasshoppers and moved to 2-0 on the season while Jack Carey recorded his third save.
Tristan Garnett took the loss for the BlueClaws and moved to 0-2 on the season.
