Amarillo Gorillas News Release

Amarillo, TX - The Amarillo Gorillas have signed forward Erik Felde and have waived defenseman Rod Aldoff, the team announced Saturday.

Felde, 21 (12/29/1987), did not earn a point over his three games this year with the Johnstown Chiefs (ECHL). The Anchorage, Alaska native participated in his first professional game last season in his home state as a member of the Alaska Aces (ECHL) and played eight games with current Gorillas forward David Nimmo while with the Reading Royals (ECHL) last season. Felde will skate tonight, wearing jersey number five.

Aldoff collected six points (all assists) over 24 games with the Gorillas this season.

Amarillo will take the ice tonight, December 12th versus the Arizona Sundogs at 7pm. The Gorillas are asking fans to bring in teddy bears or other stuffed animals to throw onto the ice after Amarillo's first goal of the game. All stuffed animals being thrown during the annual "Teddy Bear Toss" will be donated to Toys for Tots. Also Saturday, the Gorillas will be giving away 1,000 rally towels. 8-year-old Panhandle "America's Got Talent" star Eleisha Miller will sing the national anthem as well. Come early (doors open at 6pm) and enjoy the show. Call 806.242.PUCK.

Fans who donate a toy at December home games 12th, 13th, & 19th will have the opportunity to purchase a $10 game ticket valid for the same game night. Present your toy at the Amarillo Civic Center box office or the Gorillas office on the day of the game.
