NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - A three point effort by both Mark Kolanos and Justin Kinnunen stretched Texas' game winning streak to six when they defeated the Tulsa Oilers 4-1 on the road Saturday night.

It was the line of Mark Kolanos, Grant Jacobsen and Elias Godoy that jump started the Texas offense when the trio factored in the Brahmas first two goals. The first came from Kolanos, his first in just his second night in a Brahmas uniform, at 3:53 with the assist from Justin Kinnunen and Godoy. The chemistry between the linemates continued when Godoy and Kolanos connected with Jacobsen for a Texas 2-0 lead. The Oilers were able to get within one in the middle frame when Jake Riddle beat Brett Jaeger for Tulsa's eighth shorthanded goal of the season, tying Texas for the league lead. Jacobsen padded the lead with his second of the night when he tipped an initial Kinnunen shot past Marty Magers for Texas' third goal.

Purple and black suited Kolanos well when he registered a powerplay goal with three minutes remaining in the game, his third point of the evening. Brett Jaeger starred in goal for the Brahmas stopping 26 shots for his seventh win of the season.

Texas will continue their road trip next week when they travel to Arizona for back to back games on Friday and Saturday. Faceoff will be at 8:05 PM CST and can be seen on CHLTV. The Brahmas will return home Sunday, December 27 for a 4:05 PM game against the Wichita Thunder. Immediately following the game will be a free post game skate with the Brahmas.
