Amarillo Gorillas News Release
AMARILLO, TX - The Gorillas announced another change to their broadcast schedule for tonight's game against Bossier-Shreveport.
Amarillo Gorillas Hockey Presented by NewsChannel 10 on Friday, February 17th, set for 7:00 pm at the Cal Farley Coliseum, will be airing on the New KPUR 107.1 FM rather than 1440 AM The Score or 1550 AM The Zone due to broadcast conflicts with high school basketball.
The Amarillo Gorillas sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and will keep fans and media notified as to any other changes to their broadcast schedule as the season moves along.
With Amarillo's 3-2 win Tuesday night over Tulsa, the Gorillas improved to 22-19-3 for 47 points, ten behind Odessa and six ahead of Lubbock, both of whom were idle. Amarillo also picked up a point on Rio Grande Valley, taking sole possession of fourth place in the Southern Conference, currently good for a playoff spot. The Gorillas still have 20 games remaining, however, but hold games in hand on the Jackalopes (1), the Killer Bees (1) and the Ice Bats (3), all of whom are ahead of Amarillo in the conference standings.
Amarillo Gorillas Hockey Presented by NewsChannel 10 will not be available on the radio Saturday evening. Both upcoming contests will be held at the Cal Farley Coliseum, before the Gorillas close out February with four straight on the road. Gorillas Pre-Game Friday is set to begin at 6:45 pm. The games will also be available at www.amarillogorillas.com and on CHLTV (www.chltv.com).
Saturday night's game against Laredo will be televised locally on UPN-Amarillo with Adam Kaufman handling the play-by-play duties with analyst Jason Friedman.
Friday the 17th is Valero McKee Refinery Night presented by KVII Channel 7. Tons of prize giveaways! It's also Surprise Parties Ladies Night as the Gorillas host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs for the first time all year! Saturday, the Gorillas will celebrate Bud Light Night presented by NewsChannel 10 against Laredo by wearing special Texas-themed jerseys to be auctioned off after the game.
