Gorillas and the Saints set to rumble in first round of playoffs

AMARILLO, TX â One of the most exciting and most anticipated Central Hockey League playoff series and rivalries will begin this weekend.
The Amarillo Gorillas travel to San Angelo to face the Saints in Game One on Friday, Mar. 19 at 7 p.m. and then Game 2 Saturday, Mar. 20 also at 7 p.m. The Gorillas are looking at putting together a fan bus for the second game of the series and fans can call 242-7825 to book their spot. If anyone wants tickets for the San Angelo games, prices are $9 or $16 or $7 for groups of 20 or more. Fans need to call 325-653-9577 and tell them they are with Amarillo and should be placed in Section Q.
Fans can also tune into the first two games live on Hot 99.7 FM, a division of Amigo Broadcasting, beginning with Prelude to the Playoffs Gorillas Game Night post season edition at 6:40 p.m. Play by play will follow on the Bank Of America Playoff network starting at 7 p.m. with radio voice Denis J. Puska bringing you the passion and excitement of the games like only he can deliver.
The third game of the series will be back in Amarillo at the Bank One Jungle on Saturday, Mar. 27 at 7 p.m. It will be Reid's Appliance Night and there will be draws throughout the night for power tools. It is also the return of 50 cent hotdogs. There will also be a tailgate party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Northeast corner parking lot.
If a fourth game of the series is necessary, it will be played on Sunday, Mar. 28 at 6 p.m. also at Bank One Jungle.
Single game playoff seats are available and fans can get them at the Gorillas hockey office located at 1934 Civic Circle; Civic Center Box Office; Panhandle Tickets located at Randy's Music Mart, the WT Event Center in Canyon and United Supermarkets. Fans can charge by phone 378-3098 or on line at panhandletickets.com.
