
Goloubef Recalled By Blue Jackets

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced on Wednesday that defenseman Cody Goloubef has been recalled on an emergency basis by their NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Goloubef has a goal in nine games with the Blue Jackets this season and has 12 points (5g-7a) in 25 contests with the Falcons in 2012-2013. This marks Goloubef's third recall to the Blue Jackets this season. He was assigned by Columbus to Springfield on Monday and recorded an assist in the Falcons' 3-2 overtime defeat in Bridgeport on Tuesday.
A native of Oakville, Ontario, Goloubef has accumulated 41 points (11g-30a) in 123 AHL contests and has one goal in 10-career NHL games. Goloubef, 23, was selected by Columbus in the second round (37th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The Falcons end their four-game road stretch in Providence on Friday before returning to the MassMutual Center on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. to host the Bruins. Springfield closes out the weekend in Connecticut on Sunday against the Whale. The Falcons lead the Whale by 12 points for first place in the Northeast Division with three games in hand.
The first 1,500 fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a free Falcons baseball hat. Fans can also win a free bicycle from Gus Coelho Auto Repair at 442 Holyoke St. in Ludlow as part of "Cycle Saturday." Additionally, select game-worn "Irish Night" jerseys will be auctioned off in the MassMutual Center concourse.
Single-game tickets to see the Falcons in 2012-2013 can be purchased at the MassMutual Center Box Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. through game time on Saturday home dates, and starting four hours prior to Sunday home contests.
