
Devante Smith-Pelly Re-Joins Admirals from Anaheim

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have reassigned forward Devante Smith-Pelly to the Admirals.
Smith-Pelly, 20 (6/14/92), has appeared in five contests with Anaheim this season, going scoreless while averaging 7:59 time-on-ice. He did not appear with the Ducks in his most recent recall (Mar. 11). A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Smith-Pelly has appeared in 47 contests with the Admirals this season, scoring 7-1320 points with 49 penalty minutes (PIM).
Selected in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Smith-Pelly made his NHL debut with Anaheim in 2011-12, collecting 7-613 points with 16 PIM in 49 contests. He appeared in his first contest with the Ducks at 19 years, three months and 23 days on Oct. 7 at Buffalo (Helsinki, Finland), becoming the third-youngest player to appear in an Anaheim uniform.
Norfolk begins a three-game road trip tonight at 7:00 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers in Game 7 of the GEICO Challenge Cup. All games can be heard on 102.1-FM, 1490-AM or 1021TheGame.com. You may also watch at AHLLive.com.
