WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes (30-25) beat the Sioux Falls Canaries 11-2 at Shaw Park on Tuesday night.

Nine of the Goldeyes' 11 runs came with two outs. In the bottom of the third and with two outs and no one on base, Tyler Hill extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a double down the left field line. Wes Darvill followed with a double to right-centre that scored Hill with the game's first run. After James Harris worked a full-count walk, Kyle Martin slugged a three-run home run to right-centre.

Goldeyes' starting pitcher Mitchell Lambson (6-2) allowed one earned run on seven hits over seven innings to pick up the win. Lambson walked two and struck out four.

"Lambson did what Lambson always does," said Darvill. "He attacked the zone, threw everything for strikes, and used both sides of the plate. It's so much fun to watch him go out there every fifth day and play behind him."

Winnipeg added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Darvill doubled home Hill on a line drive down the right field line. Darvill advanced to third on a passed ball and then scored when Harris hit a sharp single of shortstop Andrew Ely with the infield in. Two batters later, Harris stole second and scored on a two-out, RBI single to left from Willy Garcia.

The Canaries scratched out their first run in the top of the seventh. Ely tripled to centre leading off and scored on a groundball to shortstop from Graham Low.

Winnipeg answered in the bottom of the seventh with three more runs. Martin hit a two-out, bloop single to centre that scored Hill. Willy Garcia followed with an RBI double to left-centre that played Martin from first. Dominic Ficociello drove in Garcia with an RBI single through the left side on the eight pitch of his at bat.

Clint Coulter hit a pinch-hit, solo home run with one out in the top of the eighth to pull the Canaries within 10-2.

The Goldeyes scored their 11th and final run in the bottom of the eighth when Harris knocked in Hill with a double into the right field corner.

Mark Seyler (3-3) started for the Canaries and took the loss, allowing seven earned runs on seven hits in four and two-thirds innings. Seyler walked two and struck out two.

Hill, Darvill, Harris, Martin, and Willy Garcia each had two hits. Hill finished with four runs scored, while Martin had four RBI. Christian Torres pitched a scoreless top of the ninth for Winnipeg.

The series continues Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. Parker French (2-3, 5.63) takes on left-hander Luis Pollorena (4-1, 3.02). Advance tickets are on sale now by visiting www.goldeyes.com/tickets or by visiting the box office at Shaw Park.
