Goaltender Lee Heads Back to AHL Portland

Goaltender Mike Lee has been re-assigned to the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.

Lee currently ranks second among ECHL rookie netminders with a 2.35 goals against average and a .911 save percentage in 28 games with Gwinnett. He has notched a 14-12-1-0 record with Gwinnett and has earned two shutouts this season.

The Rouseau, Minnesota native returns to the AHL where he has earned a 2.76 goals against average and a .915 save percentage in 10 games with the Pirates. Lee has also notched a 6-3-0 record in the AHL this season.

Lee has been twice named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week this season. He earned the honor for the week of October 22nd through the 28th and again for the week of November 5th through the 11th.

Lee was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft witht he 91st overall pick.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
