Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Go Green Week continues tomorrow night at 7:05 pm as your Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs take on the rival Mississippi RiverKings, presented by AEP SWEPCO. The Mudbugs, who have only three home games remaining in the regular season, can clinch third place in the Northern Conference with a win over the RiverKings.

The Mudbugs and SWEPCO are teaming up to help raise awareness about environmental issues during "Go Green Week", which began with yesterday's 5-4 victory over Corpus Christi. The ‘Bugs will again wear their specialty "Go Green" jerseys in Tuesday's game, with the uniforms then being put up for auction to the fans on eBay following the game. AEP SWEPCO will also have a concourse table set up with information on environmentally friendly practices to help us conserve energy.

The Mudbugs need only one point to lock up third place in the Northern Conference playoffs, which comes with a first round bye and a second round matchup against either Colorado or Rapid City. Tomorrow will be the tenth and final regular season meeting between the ‘Bugs and ‘Kings, with Bossier-Shreveport winning six of the nine games played in the rivalry this season. Mississippi did beat the ‘Bugs 6-4 in Southaven, Mississippi the last time the teams met on Saturday.

Bossier-Shreveport will also play at home Thursday vs. Tulsa and Friday in their regular season home finale against Missouri.

Mudbugs group ticket packages are available now, so call (318) 752-BUGS or stop by the team office inside CenturyTel Center for more information.
