Tulsa Oilers News Release

Season Finale: The Tulsa Oilers conclude the season with three road games this week. They play at Bossier-Shreveport Thursday and then at Mississippi for games Friday and Saturday. All three games start at 7:05 p.m and can be heard via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and viewed at CHL TV.

Good Start...: For the Oilers last week on their season ending six game road trip. The Oilers won a Wednesday morning affair at Amarillo, 4-3. The Oilers had four different scorers in the game. Tyler Butler scored his 10th goal of the season, and it was his first even strength goal as he has eight power play goals (tied for third among CHL defensemen) and one shorthanded goal. Jake Riddle, Adam Bartholomay, and Luke Stauffacher also scored for the Oilers.

Goals Galore: Whether it was the thin mountain air, the Oilers first visit to Colorado yielded plenty of goals, unfortunately the Oilers came out on the short end both times. They lost 11-6 on Friday night. It was the second time this season the Oilers had scored six goals in a game against Colorado and had no points in the standings to show for it. Colorado blew open a close game on Saturday with three goals in a 47 second span in the second period and went on to a 5-1 win over the Oilers.

Lucky Luke: But it's been more than luck that has Luke Stauffacher on a hot streak. He had a goal in each of the Oilers three games last week, and now has goals in four straight games. In his 10 games with the Oilers, Stauffacher has five goals and two assists for seven points, and has had points in seven of the Oilers last eight games.

No Postseason: The Oilers have been eliminated from playoff consideration, after Missouri defeated Wichita 5-2 on Sunday.

Tickets Here: Season tickets for the 2010-11 season are now available by calling the Oilers office at 918-632-PUCK (7825).
