Glendinning Homers Twice, Tresh Drives in Five RBI in 12-5 Win Sunday

Robbie Glendinning hit two home runs as the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (4-5) offense exploded for the second-straight night, scoring 12 runs on 17 hits in a 12-5 victory over the Wichita Wind Surge (5-4) to earn a series split on Sunday afternoon at Riverfront Stadium in Wichita, Kansas. The Naturals return to action at Arvest Ballpark on Tuesday with a 7:05 PM CT first pitch, beginning a six-game series against the Amarillo Sod Poodles.

The Wind Surge plated the game's first runs, taking a 2-0 lead. The Naturals powered past Wichita in the second, scoring five runs in an inning for the second-straight day.Glendinning hit a three-run blast to take the lead and *Jeison Guzmán *hit a two-run shot to extend the Naturals' lead to 5-2.

Northwest Arkansas scored two more runs in the fourth, with John Rave *driving in *Tyler Tolbert *and *Luca Tresh bringing home his first of five RBI on the day. to make it a 7-3 game.

Wichita scored two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to make it a two-run game, but the Naturals offense wasn't done. after a sac fly in the sixth made it 8-5, Peyton Wilson hit a solo homer in the eighth and Tresh ripped a ball off the wall with a runner on, circling the bases for an inside-the-park home run to make it 11-5.

In the ninth, Tresh singled home Wilson while Jorge Bonifacio hit a two-run homer. Glendinning blasted his second homer of the game, a solo shot, to cap the scoring with the Naturals going on to win 15-5 and earn a series split.

Northwest Arkansas improved to 4-5 on the year behind the pitching staff's ninth-straight 10+ strikeout performance to start the season. Alec Marsh led the charge with six punchouts over 4.0 innings, but *Dante Biasi (1-0) *earned the win after 1.1 innings of hitless, scoreless work.

The Naturals are off on Monday and will start a six-game series at Arvest Ballpark on Tuesday against the Amarillo Sod Poodles with a 7:05 PM CT first pitch. Fans can get their ticket.
