September 20, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Monterey Bay FC News Release
SEASIDE, Calif. - Following Monterey Bay's resounding 5-0 victory at Cardinale Stadium over Eastern Conference side Indy Eleven on Saturday, September 17, midfielder Sam Gleadle has been named to USL Championship's Team of the Week, while goalkeeper Antony Siaha earned a spot on the bench.
Gleadle now makes his third-consecutive team of the week behind a top-11 performance in which the Chichester, England native had his hands in just about everything on the night for the Union. On top of his goal in the 50th minute of the match, Gleadle assisted on two additional goals in the 43rd and 66th minutes to help the Crisp & Kelp to a season-high in goals scored in a single match.
In just his 12th professional start, Siaha recorded his seventh clean sheet and the team's 10th shutout of the campaign. In addition, the goalkeeper recorded five saves on the night.
Below is USL Championship's full Team of the Week for Week 28 lined up in a 3-4-3 formation:
