Kris Goodjohn scored the game winner at 7:22 of overtime to help the Gladiators to a 2-1 overtime win over the Mississippi Sea Wolves and help Gwinnett advance to the Central Division Semi-Finals. Chris Durno and Wes Swinson added the assists on the game-winning goal.

Mississippi jumped out to a 1-0 lead on the power play, as Travis Lisabeth was able to pick up a rebound in the slot and flip a puck over an outstretched Michael Garnett. The Gladiators netminder made the initial save but couldn't control the rebound as Lisabeth capitalized at 14:54 of opening period. Sergei Kuznetsov and Anthony Battaglia picked up the assists on the tally as they moved the puck up ice to Lisabeth to set up the games first score.

Despite chances at both ends of the ice, neither team could capitalize on its opportunities in the second period. Gwinnett could not capitalize on its three power play chances in the second period.

Tyler Deis tallied his first goal of the post season for the Gladiators with time winding down in the final period to even up the contest at a goal apiece as he picked up a deflected Troy Milam slap-shot in the right wing circle and flicked the puck past Mississippi netminder Greg Gardner. Milam as well as Joe Bourne added the assists on the goal for the Gladiators at 13:02 of the third period to send the contest to overtime.

Goodjohn picked up the game winner as he corralled a rebound left in the high slot off a Chris Durno shot from the left wing side. Goodjohn slid through the slot untouched and took his time as he ripped the shot over the shoulder of an outstretched Gardner for the game winner.

Michael Garnett made 30 saves for the Gladiators who again were kept off the board on the man advantage. The Gladiators win their Central Division Semi-Final series 3 games to 2 with the 2-1 overtime win.

The Gladiators will advance to take on the winner of the Pensacola Ice Pilots – Louisiana IceGators series that currently is tied 1-1 in overtime. If Pensacola wins, Gwinnett will host the Ice Pilots in Game #1 at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Friday at 7:35 p.m., if Louisiana wins, Game #1 will be at the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA on Friday at 8:05 p.m.
