
Gladiators Host Open House on October 12th

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they will be holding an open house that is free to the public on Tuesday, October 12th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center as the team prepares for its second season in the ECHL.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet the 2004 â 2005 team, purchase ticket packages and individual game tickets as well as win prizes from the Gladiators, including an autographed team jersey and stick as well as from team sponsors during the open house.
Local Musician Chip Houston will be performing during the evening while Bodyplex Fitness Adventure will be on hand painting faces throughout the night. The Arena at Gwinnett Center Staff will be in the process of painting the ice in preparation for the season through the evening.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet this season's team as radio broadcaster Dustin Bixby and public address announcer Chris Peace will be introducing and talking with each player. Following their introduction, all players will be available for autographs.
The Open House will be the first opportunity for all Gladiators Ticket Package Holders to pick up their tickets for the upcoming season. Gladiators Head Coach Jeff Pyle will be holding a "Chalk Talk" Session for Season Ticket Holders in the Club Lounge beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Individual game tickets for the Gladiators second season will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. Gladiators Staff members will also be on hand at the Open House to help show seats to fans interested in ticket packages.
In addition, the Gladiators will be holding National Anthem Try-Outs during the open house. Singers and performers must pre-register with Rob Montepare in the Gladiators office at 770-497-5107 or by e-mail at rmontepare@gwinnettgladiators.com.
Last year Rachel Jordan of Dawsonville, Cody Bowers of Newnan, Jennifer Faulkinberry of Lawrenceville, Aundi Elske of Duluth, Rebecca Ball of Snellville, Amanda Foster of Tucker and Sentimental Journey of Dunwoody were just a few of the performers who tried out and sang the Anthem at a Gladiators game.
The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators begin their second season on the road October 22nd, before hosting in-state rival Augusta on Friday, October 29th at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
