Gladiators Agree to Terms with Reimers, Peterson and Aceti

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have signed defenseman Jason Reimers, center Chris Peterson and goaltender T.J. Aceti for the 2004-05 season.

Reimers comes to the Gladiators after playing last season with the Fort Worth Brahmas of the Central Hockey League where he tallied one goal and 6 assists for 7 points in 27 games.

The Cottage Grove, Minnesota native recorded 14 assists in 23 games with the Des-Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League during the 2000-01 season.

Peterson, a rookie out of Lake Superior State University, posted 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points in his fourth collegiate season last year. The Clinton Township, Michigan native posted 33 points in 112 collegiate games over four seasons at Lake Superior State.

Peterson played with former Gladiator Mike Vigilante during the 2000-01 season at Lake Superior State.

Aceti enters his second professional season after posting a 14-24-3 record last year with the Long Beach Ice Dogs. The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, native recorded a 3.26 goals against average and a .891 save percentage last season, tops among all Ice Dogs netminders.

In four junior seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, Aceti appeared in 155 games, posting a 3.47 goals against average and a .888 save percentage.

The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators begin their second season on the road October 22nd, before hosting in-state rival Augusta on Friday, October 29th at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
