
Gladiators Add Defenseman MacGregor

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gladiators announced the signing of defenseman Patrick MacGregor on Tuesday. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound blue-liner joins the lineup three days before the team's home opener on Friday against Wheeling.
MacGregor, 24, will begin his rookie season this year after playing for four seasons at Boston University. The Hamden, Conn. native collected 12 assists over 114 games for the Terriers, and was the team's co-Captain last season.
Prior to his time with BU, MacGregor attended Avon Old Farms, a prestigious boarding school in Connecticut that lists Brian Leetch, Nick Bonino, Chris Higgins, and Jonathan Quick among its hockey alumni.
The Gladiators are set to return for their 2014-15 campaign at the Arena at Gwinnett Center with the team's Opening Weekend set for this Friday at 7:35 p.m. against the Wheeling Nailers and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. hosting division-rival Greenville.
