Indy Fuel News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, dropped the puck on their first season in the ECHL on Friday in front of a sold-out crowd of 6,477 at the Fairgrounds Coliseum in Indianapolis. Following a 5-4 shootout loss to the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday, the Fuel traveled to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Saturday for a rematch with the Komets, which Fort Wayne claimed by a 4-3 final score. With one point, the Fuel currently sit alone in sixth place in the ECHL's North Division standings.

The Fuel pay homage to Fort Wayne's and America's folk hero John Chapman, better known as "Johnny Appleseed" on "Johnny Appleseed Day" at the Fairgrounds Coliseum. All youth in attendance will receive a complimentary Applehead candy box!

- - Fuel forward Robert Czarnik currently ranks tied for fourth in the ECHL in scoring with four points (2G, 2A) and leads the league with two power-play goals and three power-play points.
