
Giveaways for First 1,500 Fans at Thursday's 'Girls Hockey

(Peterborough, ON) - The new-look Peterborough Petes will host former assistant coach Jake Grimes and the Guelph Storm for the only time this season on Thursday, January 11 at 7:05pm.
The game will mark Andrew Verner's first home game since being named Interim Head Coach, and the first appearance of newly acquired right winger Brady Hinz.
Thursday's game is sponsored by Reliance Home Comfort, who will be giving away free Reliance water bottles and Reliance reusable grocery bags to the first 1,500 fans through the doors.
More than 300 Peterborough Girls Hockey Association (PGHA) players will take in the game with their teammates and families. PGHA representatives will take part in a pre-game ceremonial puck drop. Fans are invited to participate in the second intermission chuck-a-puck, the proceeds from which will directed to the PGHA, supporting women in sport. Prizes up for grabs include a team signed Petes jersey, a $50 Lansdowne Place gift card, and an Ice Kats prize pack.
Students of St. Martin Catholic Elementary School will perform the national anthem.
