
Gillis earns Player of the Week award

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Defenseman Ryan Gillis is the first recipient of the PrairieThunder "Player of the Week" award, courtesy of Bloomington's Lone Star Restaurant.
The 6-foot-1, 209-pound Gillis earned the weekly honor by recording three points on his first goal of the season and two assists in four games last week. For the season, Gillis has one goal and four assists for five points.
The PrairieThunder returns to action Wednesday in a 7:30 p.m. United Hockey League contest at Rockford. Its next home game is Friday at 7:05 p.m. against Muskegon at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
