
Giants Prospect Sam Rinzel Selected 25th Overall by the Chicago Blackhawks

Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants are pleased to announce that 2004-born prospect defender Sam Rinzel (Chanhassen, MN, USA) has been selected 25th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first-round of the 2022 NHL Draft.
SAM RINZEL'S ELITE PROSPECTS PROFILE
Rinzel, 18, stands 6'4" and 181-pounds and was added to the Giants protected list in 2019. In 27 games as the captain of Chaska High (USHS - MN) this season, the defenceman scored 9 goals and had 29 assists for 38 points.
"We are very excited for Sam and his family on this special night," said Giants General Manager Barclay Parneta. "He's a got a great set of tools that should translate very nicely to the NHL level with the Chicago Blackhawks organization."
