
Giants Prevail in OT

Evander Kane's 3rd goal of the night 30 seconds into overtime gave the Vancouver Giants a 5-4 win over the Blazers on Saturday night at ISC.
The game was tied 1-1 after one period as Nick Ross and Dalibor Bortnak traded goals. Garry Nunn put the Giants ahead early in the second before Scott Wasden scored twice in a 4-minutes span to give the Blazers their first lead of the night. The lead held up until early in the third when Kane scored twice in 1:12 to give the Giants the lead back. Tyler Shattock banged in a goalmouth rebound with 45 seconds left in regulation to send the game to OT.
Final shots were 39-29 Giants as Justin Leclerc took the OT loss while Tyson Sexsmith picked up the win. The Blazers were 1-for-5 on the PP while the Giants were 2-for-4.
